Download the free Adobe Reader for PDF documents

What is PDF?

Invented by Adobe Systems and perfected over 15 years, Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) lets you capture and view robust information—from any application, on any computer system—and share it with anyone around the world. Individuals, businesses, and government agencies everywhere trust and rely on Adobe® PDF to communicate their ideas and vision.

Why do I need a PDF Reader?

PDF documents are used worldwide and are a common format between anyone using the internet, email attachments, or in business. Since different people use different word processing programs, (MS Word or WordPerfect for example), Adobe allows a common document format with free software to view or print these documents. We use a PDF document for our final written inspection report and any of our document files that we send to our clients.

Notes about Adobe Reader:

If you do not have the correct operating system for Adobe Reader 8, click on Choose a Different Version link on that page. It will take to another page where you can choose your operating system so you download previous versions of Adobe Reader for older operating systems.

If you do not know your operating system, look for the version as your computer is loading, or go to Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information. Common operating systems include: Windows XP, Windows Millennium (ME), Windows 98, Windows 95. If you still have trouble contact your computer manufacturer with your model number.
